About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in agricultural lending. You will work directly with loan officers and department leadership to complete real projects. The program includes a manager and a mentor to guide your daily work. Interns also participate in weekly professional development sessions covering resume reviews, mock interviews, and networking skills.
What you'll do#
- Prepare FSA Annual Financial Request packets for customers.
- Analyze loan prospects by collecting financial data and inputting it into analysis software.
- Prepare mock documents for loan requests.
- Conduct farm visits alongside loan officers.
- Assist with marketing projects, including preparation for local fairs.
- Present your final project results and business recommendations to company leadership.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or Accounting are preferred.
