About the role#
As a Quality Intern, you will join the team to identify, measure, and analyze quality risks within our construction projects. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting initiatives to eliminate these risks and improve project outcomes. This role relies on your initiative and ability to work effectively with others to ensure high standards.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Quality Team to discuss quality observations and warranty trends.
- Support root cause analysis for events that impact project quality.
- Review equipment documentation and construction shop drawings to identify risks and potential savings.
- Visit jobsites and shops to learn about mechanical and plumbing systems and check installation compliance.
- Maintain the warranty call log by tracking vendor information, root causes, and call status.
- Assist warranty coordinators with scheduling service calls and technician availability.
- Create permanent reporting capabilities using Smartsheet for the Quality team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Ability to work at least 30 hours per week during regular business hours.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for working with project managers, field staff, and drafting teams.

- Note: Occasional jobsite visits may involve climbing stairs or ladders and navigating active construction areas.
