About the role#
As a Construction Project Management Co-op, you will support estimating and operations teams on mechanical, plumbing, and controls projects. You will work alongside Project Managers and Field Foremen to manage project logistics and site needs. This role requires a commitment to three full-time alternating rotations.
What you'll do#
- Manage mechanical, plumbing, and controls construction projects with Project Managers.
- Coordinate with vendors to schedule and procure materials and equipment.
- Update and project cost expenditures for construction budgets.
- Assist during the preconstruction phase by gathering quotes and performing take-offs.
- Survey project sites to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
- Obtain permits, submittals, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with field crews to meet schedule milestones.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Co-op program at an accredited engineering school.
- Major in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related degree.
- Completion of at least three full-time alternating Co-op rotations before graduation.
- Ability to communicate with diverse groups including project managers, drafting teams, and field staff.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Rotation Schedule: Spring 2027, Fall 2027, and Summer 2028.
- Employment Status: Paid, full-time.
- Physical requirements include occasional site visits involving navigating active construction areas and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
