About the role#
McKenney's, Inc. is looking for an IT Co-op to support our technology team. You will work on real projects that impact our construction operations. We have a history of hiring Co-ops who grow into long-term roles within the company. This is a paid, full-time position based in Atlanta, Georgia.
What you'll do#
- Assist office and field staff with daily IT issues.
- Maintain and repair computers, printers, mobile devices, and rugged field equipment.
- Install and update business software applications.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network connectivity at offices and jobsites.
- Manage cybersecurity, access controls, and adherence to IT policies.
- Set up and maintain IT infrastructure at active construction sites.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Enrollment in a formal Co-op program is preferred.
- Ability to work at least 30 hours per week.
- Commitment to complete at least two full-time, alternating Co-op rotations before you graduate.
- A detail-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with project managers, field staff, and fabrication shops.
- A team-oriented mindset and openness to feedback.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Summer 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Physical requirements: Occasional jobsite visits may involve climbing stairs or ladders and navigating active construction areas. You may occasionally need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
