About the role#
As a Construction Project Management Co-op, you will join the team from day one. You will receive training and take on tasks that contribute to project success. This role supports both estimating and operations, while collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, and field foremen. We look for candidates who show initiative and work well within a team. You may have the opportunity to manage projects from start to finish under the guidance of a Project Manager.
What you'll do#
- Work with Project Managers to manage mechanical, plumbing, and controls construction projects.
- Use software including Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, and BIM 360.
- Coordinate with vendors to schedule and procure materials and equipment.
- Update and project cost expenditures for project budgets.
- Plan with Project Managers and Field Foremen to hit major schedule milestones.
- Assist in the preconstruction phase by gathering quotes, performing take-offs, and assembling estimates.
- Obtain necessary permits, submittals, and other documentation.
- Survey project sites to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production values.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Co-op program at an accredited engineering school.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Commitment to complete at least three full-time alternating Co-op rotations before graduation.
- Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse group of people.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Skills to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail when completing multiple or repetitive tasks.
