About the role#
Mativ is hiring a Research & Development Intern for a 12-week program in Neenah, Wisconsin. You will work within a multi-functional team to gain experience in real-time production and research processes. This role focuses on project work with clear deliverables and exposure to the mill environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the R&D team on process efficiency, cost savings, and technology advancement projects.
- Partner with scientists to identify paper properties and participate in new customer trials.
- Attend leadership meetings to report on progress and complete assigned tasks.
- Work with leadership to modify or create standard operating procedures.
- Manage specific projects as assigned by R&D management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Paper Science degree program.
- Completion of at least 2 full years of coursework, with preference for those who have completed 3 years.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong initiative, curiosity, and the ability to analyze information to identify opportunities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
