About the role#
Mativ is hiring a Safety Intern for the summer of 2027. This position is based at the Neenah Mill in Neenah, Wisconsin. You will work with the corporate environmental, health, and safety leadership team to support key initiatives and learn about the factors that drive safety success.
What you'll do#
- Lead or contribute to projects focused on EHS data collection, management, and communication.
- Work with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Interact with site EHS leaders and corporate staff on various initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Prior internship or work experience in a safety-related position.
- Strong organizational and technical skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork capabilities.
