About the role#
Mativ is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10-week summer program at our Whiting, Wisconsin mill. This is a full-time, on-site position starting in May 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, working alongside a multi-functional team to support production and process improvement.
What you'll do#
- Follow safety procedures and support a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the team on process efficiency, cost savings, and technology projects.
- Update mill documentation and technical drawings.
- Modify or create standard operating procedures with leadership guidance.
- Participate in production line operations to learn about technical properties and quality standards.
- Attend leadership meetings and present updates on your assigned tasks.
- Complete project work as assigned by mill management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Completion of at least one full year of coursework, with preference for two years.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Ability to analyze information, identify opportunities, and communicate findings clearly.
- Initiative, drive, and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Prior internship experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.
- Willingness to work on the production floor and wear required PPE.
