About the role#
The Quality Engineer Intern/Co-op works under the supervision of the Quality Manager at the Minneapolis plant. You will ensure product quality meets customer and company specifications and manage the final disposition of products. This role serves as a resource for the production team and assists with technical escalations.
What you'll do#
- Verify machine start-up parameters against Standard Operating Conditions.
- Check test data from the first roll of each production batch.
- Audit production test results during runs to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor line start-up and product change processes.
- Lead technical teams to review and disposition internal nonconforming materials.
- Investigate the root cause of nonconformances and customer complaints.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and report findings to customers.
- Assist in developing manufacturing work instructions, testing processes, and certification documents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or Quality Management.
- Completion of at least one full year of coursework, with a preference for two years.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA in your academic field of study.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel.
- High initiative, drive, and a curiosity to improve business processes.
- Ability to analyze information, synthesize findings, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
