About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Central Engineering firmware team. You will focus on firmware development for Serdes IP. This role involves working with a team of experts to solve technical challenges in high-speed data transport.
What you'll do#
- Develop and verify new firmware modules.
- Build and improve CI/CD processes.
- Create module documentation, design specifications, source code, and build scripts.
- Handle tasks related to debugging, system bring-up, and production firmware development.
- Collaborate with firmware, design, application, and SoC teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate or Master student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of embedded firmware design, development, and debugging.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
- Good technical communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with C/C++ in a bare-metal embedded environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of SERDES technology, PCIe host interfaces, or chip design simulation is helpful.
- Interest in AI, Machine Learning, and LLMs is a plus.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

- Employment: Full-time.
- Pay: 32 - 43 CAD per hour.
