About the role#
As a Design For Test intern in the Compute and Custom Solutions business unit, you will work with a team responsible for delivering DFT architecture and design for complex SoCs. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting DFT requirements and using industry tools to build advanced silicon solutions.
What you'll do#
- Learn block level or chip top DFT and pattern generation flows for complex SOC designs.
- Execute DFT insertion, pattern generation, and verification flows for Scan, MBIST, Boundary Scan, and IP macro test.
- Run DFT checks and analyze results to fix testability issues and improve coverage.
- Support DFT flow automation by writing scripts in Python, Tcl, or shell.
- Contribute to DFT documentation and methodology improvements.
- Present your project results to the team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Masters in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A good understanding of digital logic design using Verilog or System Verilog.
- Knowledge of DFT concepts, JTAG standards, and Boundary scan implementation.
- Experience with programming and scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Tcl.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Scan test, memory BIST/BISR, functional test, and AI assisted tools for coding is a plus.
