As an Applied Machine Learning Scientist Intern within the Data Analytics team, you will contribute to Marvell’s data intelligence and architecture initiatives. You will work alongside experienced data scientists and engineers to develop predictive models and data-driven insights that support operations and leadership decision-making. This role involves working with large-scale datasets and supporting the deployment of models into production environments.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the data science team to gather, clean, and preprocess data from various sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within large datasets.
- Assist in building, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models to solve business problems.
- Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI or Python libraries.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Support data integration and engineering activities, including ETL processes, within Snowflake or Databricks environments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
- Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms, such as regression, classification, and clustering.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Python-based libraries such as seaborn and Plotly.
- Proficiency in data preprocessing and transformation.
- Familiarity with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) is considered a plus.
