About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will support our staff in providing financial planning and relationship support to high net worth clients. This role offers hands-on experience in advisory, communication, and business development. You will work directly with advisors to manage client onboarding, prepare for meetings, and develop financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process paperwork for client onboarding.
- Schedule client meetings and create materials that explain financial concepts.
- Participate in meeting follow-up tasks like research and documentation.
- Use CRM and financial planning software to manage data and develop plans.
- Assist with plan modeling, data entry, and compiling deliverables.
- Contribute to team discussions on improving client service.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a bachelor or master degree and expect to graduate within 12 months of the internship start date.
- You have demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities or work.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- You are willing to learn new CRM systems and financial planning tools.
- Majors in Finance or Business Administration are preferred.
