About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will support our staff in providing financial planning and relationship services to high net worth clients. This position offers hands-on experience in advisory, communication, and business development. You will work directly with advisors to prepare for client meetings and support the delivery of financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process paperwork for client onboarding.
- Schedule client meetings and create materials to explain financial concepts.
- Handle client meeting follow-up tasks, including research, documentation, and solution development.
- Support account maintenance and money movement processes.
- Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling plan deliverables.
- Contribute ideas during team discussions regarding client service and business development.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor or master degree with graduation expected within 12 months.
- Major in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to learn financial planning tools and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to explain complex topics simply.
