Mariner is seeking a Tax Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, paid internship provides hands-on experience in tax planning and compliance, working directly with professional teams to support client needs.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with tax professionals to learn about personal, fiduciary, S-Corporation, partnership, private foundation, and gift tax returns.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, and extension forms.
- Coordinate with wealth teams to support integrated tax and wealth planning for clients.
- Participate in special projects that directly support client objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with an expected graduation date around May 2026.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- Basic knowledge of accounting or tax principles.
- Strong aptitude for working with numbers and performing accurate, detailed calculations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and a willingness to learn specialized tax software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
