As a Tax Intern at Mariner, you will gain hands-on experience in personal, fiduciary, S-Corporation, partnership, private foundation, and gift tax returns. This role involves working 30–40 hours per week from late January to mid-April 2026, providing you with foundational knowledge of tax planning and compliance through real client work.
What you'll do#
- Work in coordination with Wealth teams to service clients regarding integrated tax and wealth planning.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, and extension forms.
- Collaborate with Tax professionals on special projects and work that directly supports clients.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with an expected graduation date within 30 months of January 2026.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- Strong aptitude for working with numbers and performing detailed calculations accurately.
- Basic knowledge of accounting or tax principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive client information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Location & details#
- Location: United States (On-site).
- Term: Spring 2026 (late January to mid-April).
- Compensation: $26 per hour.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
- Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
