About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern, you will assist your team in providing holistic financial planning and client relationship support. This summer internship offers hands-on experience in advisory, consultative, and business development tasks. You will work directly with Advisors to support client onboarding, meeting preparation, and the creation of financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Support client onboarding by preparing and processing necessary paperwork.
- Participate in client meeting follow-up tasks, including documentation, research, and solution development.
- Observe client meetings to learn how Advisors build relationships and solve client challenges.
- Use financial planning and CRM software to assist with plan development and data management.
- Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling plan deliverables.
- Contribute ideas during team discussions regarding client service and business development.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and service initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with an expected graduation date within 12 months of the internship start date (May 2026).
- Majoring in Finance, Economics, Psychology, Communications, Marketing, or Sociology.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about financial markets, planning strategies, and client decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn financial planning tools and CRM systems.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
- The role is based on-site.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
