About the role#
As a Business Development Intern on the Organic Growth team, you will gain hands-on experience in the client acquisition and relationship management side of the financial advisory business. You will work directly with sales professionals to understand how new client relationships are developed and how the firm communicates its advisory model to the marketplace. This role provides exposure to the business development process while teaching you how to align financial planning expertise with ethical, consultative sales practices.
What you'll do#
- Learn to explain the firm mission, investment philosophy, and client experience to potential clients.
- Assist team members with identifying, researching, and qualifying prospective clients.
- Create presentation materials, proposals, and follow-up communications.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and strategy discussions regarding the client acquisition process.
- Conduct market or demographic research to uncover new business opportunities.
- Observe experienced professionals to learn best practices in consultative, ethical selling.
- Use the firm CRM system to track outreach and client interactions.
- Collaborate with marketing and client service teams to ensure smooth communication and a consistent client experience.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
- Major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Prior internship or coursework in finance, investment management, or analytics is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship scheduled for Summer 2026.
- The role is based on-site in the United States.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
