About the role#
As a Product Designer co-op, you will join the Global Design System team to help evolve our digital experiences. You will work alongside senior designers, developers, and product teams to build scalable, accessible, and user-centered solutions through our enterprise design system. This role provides hands-on experience in visual design, design systems, and digital product development.
What you'll do#
- Support the creation, refinement, and maintenance of reusable design system components and patterns.
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and visual designs for web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, researchers, and business stakeholders to solve user and business challenges.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the design system by improving component flexibility, consistency, and usability.
- Maintain design documentation, guidelines, naming conventions, and best practices.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and promote inclusive user experiences.
- Participate in design critiques, workshops, and cross-functional team discussions.
- Contribute to research, journey mapping, and other user-centered design activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Global Business & Digital Arts, Systems Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Figma for creating digital experiences, prototypes, and design assets.
- Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies.
- Ability to communicate design concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A portfolio showcasing design projects, digital products, visual design work, or UX/UI case studies.
- Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG and AODA), user research, service design, and Agile or Scrum environments is an asset.
