About the role#
This co-op position is based within the Professional Practices Chief of Staff team in Audit and Advisory Services. You will gain exposure to executive reporting, governance, strategic planning, and performance measurement. This role provides an opportunity to observe how senior leaders drive organizational priorities and performance while working on projects that support the Audit function.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation of materials for the Audit Committee and leadership teams, including presentations, executive summaries, and briefing notes.
- Translate audit, risk, and strategic information into clear communications.
- Assist with governance activities by maintaining agendas, documenting decisions, and tracking action items.
- Collect and analyze audit performance data, operational metrics, and risk themes to support decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of key performance indicators, scorecards, and management reports.
- Coordinate activities for cross-functional initiatives and monitor project milestones.
- Conduct research on audit methodology, quality assurance, and industry trends.
- Identify ways to improve reporting and operational processes using automation and technology tools.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in executive communications, data storytelling, performance reporting, or process improvement.
- Previous experience or interest in internal audit, governance, strategy, consulting, or financial services is an asset.
