About the role#
This internship with the Infrastructure Equity team offers hands-on experience within the Private Markets group. You will support a global portfolio of fund and co-investments covering sectors like renewable energy, utilities, transportation, and digital infrastructure. This position focuses on delivering long-term value for the Manulife general account while building foundational skills for a career in investment management.
What you'll do#
- Support due diligence and underwriting for infrastructure fund and co-investment opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal committees.
- Conduct market and sector research across global infrastructure themes.
- Analyze financial statements and build financial models to assess investment performance.
- Support portfolio monitoring and reporting activities, including data aggregation and performance tracking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in infrastructure, private markets, or investment management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Prior internship or work experience in finance, consulting, or investment-related roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and infrastructure sectors.
- Experience with data tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or PowerBI.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
