About the role#
This internship supports the Development Team at Make-A-Wish Alabama. You will assist with the planning and execution of special events, individual giving initiatives, and corporate alliances. The role provides opportunities to attend events that occur during evenings or weekends.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events.
- Conduct research to support event planning.
- Obtain quotes from vendors for upcoming events.
- Utilize the donor database to pull necessary information.
- Solicit silent auction items.
- Manage mass emailing communications.
- Call vendors, donors, and wish families.
- Perform data entry tasks.
What you'll need#
- Interest in planning special events.
- Experience or comfort with data entry and administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and donors.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Public Health.
