About the role#
We are hiring a Student Food Services and Catering Worker to join our team at Florida State University. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, and Kinesiology. This is a paid, on-site, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food properly to meet health and safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked at appropriate levels.
- Follow safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use required personal protective equipment.
