About the role#
This internship supports the Development Team with the planning and execution of special events, individual giving, and corporate alliances at Make-A-Wish Alabama. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events.
- Solicit silent auction items.
- Conduct mass emailing campaigns.
- Communicate with vendors, donors, and wish families via phone.
- Perform data entry and maintain records in the donor database.
- Obtain quotes for event-related needs.
- Conduct research as needed.
- Attend after-hour and weekend events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing.
- Ability to work with a donor database.
- Professional communication skills for donor and vendor outreach.
