About the role#
As a Communications Intern, you will work with the Employee and Digital Communications team at our corporate headquarters in Houston. You will assist with projects across media relations, metrics, analytics, social media, and employee events. This role provides hands-on experience in a corporate setting, allowing you to apply your academic background to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the rollout of company goals regarding climate change and plastics circularity.
- Research and write news stories, articles, and blog posts.
- Manage social media content and edit copy.
- Coordinate employee volunteer events.
- Monitor media channels, including during potential crises.
- Contribute to video creation and editing for various platforms.
- Attend and participate in brainstorm sessions, client meetings, and department meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong writing, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a creative approach to projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and social media platforms.
- Fluency in English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Familiarity with Adobe Procreate, iMovie, or Canva is a plus, as is proficiency in French or German.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The term runs during the Summer of 2027.
- This position is paid.
