About the role#
As a Marketing Intern at Live Oak Bank, you will join our team for the Summer 2027 program. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role based at our headquarters in Wilmington, North Carolina. You will work directly with our marketing team to support campaigns, manage content, and analyze performance data. You will be paired with a manager and a mentor to help guide your growth throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Support marketing campaigns from the planning phase through launch.
- Write and edit copy for email, social media, web pages, blog posts, and sales enablement resources.
- Manage the content calendar and coordinate projects across creative, digital, and product partners.
- Pull, organize, and summarize campaign performance data.
- Research competitors, industry trends, and customer questions to inform product positioning.
- Assist with the logistics and execution of events and sponsorships.
- Review materials to ensure they meet brand standards and marketing compliance requirements.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.
- Present a final project to leadership at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Coursework or hands-on experience in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work on-site in Wilmington, North Carolina for the full duration of the internship.
