About the role#
This internship provides exposure to how a digital bank manages risk, meets regulatory requirements, and maintains a culture of integrity. You will work alongside professionals in Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance to support projects that protect the bank, its employees, and its customers. This is a paid, 10-week, on-site program.
What you'll do#
- Support risk and compliance teams with research, analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Review and organize risk assessments, standards, procedures, and control documentation.
- Analyze trends, incidents, audit findings, and regulatory developments to identify risk areas.
- Participate in projects covering operational risk, compliance monitoring, issue management, and governance.
- Assist with data gathering, validation, and reporting for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and meeting materials for business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand business operations.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance and a demonstrated interest in financial services or compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Preference for candidates with previous experience in banking, audit, or business operations, or those familiar with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
