Paid Fall Music Group Publishing Intern

About the role#

Insomniac Events is seeking a motivated Publishing Intern to join the records team in Calabasas, California. This hands-on role focuses on catalog management, metadata organization, and creative operations. You will support the Music Group Publishing Manager while gaining experience in the intersection of business and creativity within the music industry.

What you'll do#

• Track ISWCs and audit publishing records for accuracy.
• Add split information for exploited songs in DISCO.
• Create writer spotlights for social media, marketing, and sync opportunities.
• Update and maintain the Publishing Spotify playlist.
• Assist with publishing social channels, artist bios, and website content.
• Organize the full catalog and upload audio to the Master Publishing Rights sheet.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an active problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Comfort learning new catalog platforms such as DISCO.
• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Art, or Graphic Design.
