About the role#
Insomniac is seeking a motivated Legal Intern to join the team in Calabasas, California. This paid internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in the entertainment industry by supporting the legal team with research, drafting, and analysis. This role reports to the VP of Business and Legal Affairs.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, review, analyze, and finalize transactional documents.
- Analyze issues related to the development of production and programming.
- Conduct general research related to business operations.
- Learn how laws and regulations are actively applied and implemented in a professional setting.
- Work during holidays, evenings, and weekends as required to meet deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school as a rising 2L or 3L.
- A typical commitment of 16 to 29 hours per week.
- Previous industry experience prior to law school is considered a plus.
- Ability to work in an open office environment and on-site at event locations, which may involve loud noise levels and varying temperatures.
