About the role#
This Level I internship is an observation-based learning experience designed to provide introductory exposure to behavioral health services, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional workplace practices. Interns gain insight into behavioral healthcare operations while developing professional communication, ethical awareness, and workplace readiness skills through shadowing and supervised participation.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all approved activities structured by the internship supervisor.
- Complete, sign, and submit all required documentation by the requested deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with the internship supervisor regarding the experience and any potential concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality guidelines and comply with all Lakeview Center, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate honesty, punctuality, respect, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Evaluate and share feedback regarding the internship experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of West Florida in Nursing, Psychology, or Public Health.
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship site.
- Adherence to all professional dress and behavior guidelines.
