About the role#
This Level I internship offers an observation-based learning experience within a healthcare environment. It is designed to provide introductory exposure to behavioral health services, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional workplace practices. Interns will gain insight into behavioral healthcare operations while developing professional communication and ethical awareness.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all approved activities structured by the internship supervisor.
- Complete, sign, and submit all required documentation by the specified deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with the internship supervisor regarding the experience and any concerns.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and training requirements of Lakeview Center, Inc.
- Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines at all times.
- Demonstrate professionalism, including punctuality, honesty, respect, and a willingness to learn.
- Evaluate and share feedback regarding the internship experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of West Florida.
- Pursuing a degree in Nursing, Psychology, or Public Health.
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship site.
- Ability to adhere to professional dress and behavior guidelines.
