About the role#
This is a part-time, PRN Nursing Intern position based in Galax, Virginia. You will work on-site to support the nursing staff and assist with direct patient care. This role is paid at an hourly rate of $18.00.
What you'll do#
- Assist nursing staff in preparing patients for diagnostic and therapeutic treatments.
- Provide daily patient care, including bathing, peri-care, personal care, and clothing changes.
- Observe patients and report any changes in their condition to the nursing staff.
- Offer input to the RN to help update care plans and meet individual patient needs.
- Complete proper reporting for any abnormal occurrences.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an RN or BSN program.
- Successful completion of the first year of your nursing program.
- Good standing within your nursing program.
