About the role#
Unity Health Toronto is hiring a Nurse Intern to join the team in Searcy, Arkansas. This is a paid, on-site position. You will provide direct and indirect patient care while working under the guidance of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Please note this is a safety sensitive position. Any use of medical marijuana is prohibited for this role.
What you'll do#
- Perform patient care tasks as delegated by the primary nurse.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, and elimination needs.
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and feeding patterns.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free environment for patients.
- Handle supply ordering, maintenance, and computer data entry.
- Complete clerical tasks as assigned.
- Follow all infection control and safety guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited LPN nursing program.
- Completion of at least the first semester of nursing coursework.
- Current BLS certification.
- A nursing skills checklist signed by your nursing instructor.
- A recommendation from your nursing faculty.
- A commitment to work at Unity Health for one year after graduation.
