About the role#
As a Nurse Extern at Clinch Valley Health, you will gain hands-on experience working within a 175-bed acute care hospital. This PRN position allows you to work various shifts while you continue your nursing education. You will support our patient care team and contribute to the quality of care provided to our community.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care under the delegation and supervision of a registered nurse.
- Work collaboratively with the broader patient care team.
- Document the care you provide to patients.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to your supervising registered nurse.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program at the Associate or Bachelor level.
- Completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Location & details#
- Location: Richlands, Virginia.
- Schedule: PRN, various shifts.
- Pay: $17.16 to $20.38 per hour.
