About the role#
As a Nurse Extern at Saline Memorial Hospital, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to gain clinical experience. You will rotate throughout the facility to work with interdisciplinary teams. This role focuses on developing your clinical skills, critical thinking, and confidence in patient care.
What you'll do#
- Perform direct patient care under the direction and delegation of a registered nurse.
- Document care provided and monitor patient conditions.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient transfers, discharges, and referrals.
- Educate patients and their families based on their specific learning needs.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Support the performance improvement philosophy of the hospital.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school.
- Completion of all hands on check offs.
- One year or less of schooling remaining.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Location: Benton, Arkansas.
- Employment type: Part time, PRN.
- Schedule: Shifts vary between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
