About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and collaboration to provide safe, organized care. You will assist with essential tasks to help the care team and improve the patient experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, such as monitoring vital signs and assisting with hygiene.
- Perform hourly rounding and engage in purposeful interactions with patients.
- Document all observations and tasks clearly and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the care team during handoffs and shift reports.
- Maintain a clean work environment and assist with basic equipment maintenance.
- Uphold high standards for customer service with patients and their families.
- Seek feedback and ask questions to develop your clinical skills.
- Maintain reliable attendance and follow all facility policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- Up to 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification from the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- A Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the State Department of Public Safety.

- This is a part-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site.
