About the role#
This position supports the Swim team by building a software framework for their Power Tower system. You will work on tools that collect and manage performance data to help coaches and athletes track progress.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement a GUI-based software framework.
- Operate the Power Tower unit to collect real-time performance data.
- Organize data into documents that are easy for coaches and athletes to read.
- Document your technical work and communicate updates clearly.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program for Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least one year of programming experience is strongly recommended.
- Familiarity with databases, backend logic, APIs, system design, data modeling, and software architecture is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel occasionally to campus facilities.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
- This is a part-time role with rolling start dates.
- The starting pay rate is $12.77 per hour.
