About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role supports the development of advanced U.S. Government communication systems. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the program and contract requirements.
What you'll do#
- Design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software applications for systems that process modern wireless communication signals and radars.
- Develop, test, and deploy software applications while focusing on system maintenance and debugging issues to their root causes.
- Apply concepts of software architecture and design within an agile development environment.
- Utilize continuous integration and automated build and test practices.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Proficiency in data structures, object-oriented principles, and algorithms.
- Experience working with Unix/Linux environments and related utilities.
