About the role#
Liberty University Online is seeking Enrollment Call Center Agents to guide prospective students through the admissions process. You will serve as a primary contact for individuals interested in undergraduate and graduate programs, helping them navigate requirements and program fit. This role involves managing a high volume of communications to support students as they transition into their academic careers.
What you'll do#
- Convert prospective students into qualified applicants for online programs.
- Manage a high volume of outbound calls and incoming inquiries.
- Counsel students on program fit, admissions requirements, financial aid, transfer guidelines, and military-related issues.
- Promote the value and benefits of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
- Utilize information management systems to record student data and track interactions.
- Collaborate with support offices to resolve student concerns and improve the enrollment experience.
- Implement feedback from management to meet departmental performance goals.
- Identify innovative methods to enhance recruitment and student services.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma required; customer service or sales experience is preferred. A bachelor's degree and prior contact center experience are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
- Ability to work first or second shifts, rotating Saturdays, and occasional overtime. Note that an 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM shift is required following the initial 8-10 weeks of training.
- Ability to use sound judgment to help students overcome enrollment obstacles.
- Reliable, high-speed wired broadband internet connection (satellite internet is not compatible).
- Ability to sit for extended periods for deskwork, as well as stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote position.
- Compensation is $17.50 per hour.
