About the role#
DMA is seeking a Software Development Intern to gain hands-on experience by working alongside our team of software developers. You will participate in the day-to-day operations of our software department, translating business requirements into web-based solutions.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and enhance our existing software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and sprint planning sessions.
- Develop unit test cases for new features and bug fixes.
- Diagnose and triage software issues while documenting root causes.
- Develop and document potential solutions to technical problems.
- Assist with the preparation of functional and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Javascript.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term.
- The role is based on-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana, or Indianapolis, Indiana.
