About the role#
As an AI Automation Engineer Co-op, you will embed with our teams to replace manual, repetitive work with AI-powered tooling. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to automations that impact Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success. You will work closely with our AI Automation team to gain exposure to how AI tools, APIs, and no-code platforms solve real-world problems across our business lines.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and interview non-technical stakeholders to understand day-to-day workflows and identify tasks suitable for automation.
- Translate complex workflow problems into clear, scoped technical solutions.
- Build working automations and internal tools using AI-native platforms, APIs, and no-code or low-code tools.
- Ship v1 prototypes quickly to validate value.
- Wire together LLMs, agents, and prompt design patterns with existing systems.
- Iterate on automations based on stakeholder feedback.
- Write documentation and contribute to error handling and basic monitoring.
- Maintain a library of reusable templates, prompt patterns, and integration examples.
- Support working sessions and training for colleagues.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations teammates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related program, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building with code, such as Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Curiosity about AI and automation with experience experimenting with LLMs, prompt design, or no-code tools.
- A bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: Familiarity with APIs, scripting, or automation tools like Zapier, Make, or n8n.
- Bonus: Experience with data pulling, cleaning, and reasoning.
