About the role#
We are looking for a Software Development Co-op student to join the Later Influence engineering team. You will work alongside experienced developers to build software that powers influencer marketing for global brands. This role involves participating in the full software development lifecycle, taking ownership of production work, and gaining hands-on experience with modern engineering practices under the guidance of mentors.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to production features across backend and frontend applications.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and cross-functional partners to deliver customer value.
- Write clean, maintainable, tested, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and learn engineering best practices.
- Debug issues and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
- Take part in planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Learn modern software architecture, cloud technologies, and scalable application design.
What you'll need#
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, or Go.
- A strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A growth mindset and eagerness to receive feedback.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React is an asset.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $4,000 per month.
- This is a paid, full-time position. Please note that co-op team members are not eligible for company benefits.
