About the role#
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Citizen Remote Identity Verification team in Ottawa. This is an 8-month internship starting January 4, 2027. You will work with senior developers on the Entrust Identity as a Service platform. This role is hybrid.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications with the development team.
- Build backend components using .NET Core and C#.
- Integrate AI-driven features into our applications.
- Use GitHub Copilot and similar tools to improve code quality and productivity.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver high-quality code.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- 4th-year students are preferred, though 3rd-year students with relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience with React.NET Core, and C#.
- Knowledge of AI development concepts and frameworks.
- Familiarity with GitHub and version control best practices.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
- Experience with tools used to manage, build, and test code.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, time management, and planning abilities.
- Interest in learning new languages and frameworks.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid).
- Term: 8 months, starting January 4, 2027.
- Employment type: Full time.
- Compensation: $23 to $28 per hour.
