About the role#
Join the Research and Development team in Ottawa for an 8-month internship starting January 4, 2027. You will work with the Discovery team on a system that integrates with third-party and open-source technology via plugins. This role offers the chance to gain experience through assignments that contribute to our security solutions.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop features using Go and other programming languages.
- Collaborate with teams across sales, support, product development, and professional services.
- Write automation scripts and deploy software to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code.
- Learn to maintain a secure software development lifecycle.
- Use AI models and agents to assist in your development work.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate Computer Science program with at least two years of completed coursework.
- Proficiency in two or more programming languages.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and planning skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Ottawa.
- Previous experience in software development or relevant projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Vite, Open API, Angular, or Spring Boot.
- Experience with Linux or macOS environments.
- Please include your last complete year of study and your GPA in your application.

- Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
