About the role#
We are hiring Software Development Interns to join various teams across our Toronto office. During the hiring process, we will evaluate your technical skills and interests to match you with a team where you can contribute to meaningful projects. Depending on your placement, you may work on cloud services, web applications, developer tools, data systems, or AI-enabled features.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of software features, services, and APIs.
- Collaborate with product partners and developers to turn requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and develop automated tests to ensure product reliability.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues using logs, metrics, and debugging tools.
- Participate in Agile activities such as sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Apply engineering principles to improve the performance, security, and scalability of our products.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to support research, problem-solving, and execution.
- Communicate technical progress and findings to your team and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Graduation date no earlier than April 2027.
- Programming experience in languages such as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Understanding of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience building, testing, or debugging software.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, microservices, distributed systems, or SQL and NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Interest in areas such as generative AI, automated testing, or engineering software like CAD.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
- The program runs for 16 weeks, from May 3 to August 20, 2027.
- Work modality is flexible, supporting remote, hybrid, or on-site arrangements based on team needs.
- This role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
