About the role#
This summer internship offers a hands-on opportunity to bridge the gap between laboratory analysis and field application. You will serve as a primary contact between the SureTech laboratory and agricultural producers, helping them use data to improve animal production. The role involves significant travel throughout the region to visit farms and interact with customers.
What you'll do#
- Travel to farms and customer sites to collect forage samples.
- Promote the value of forage testing to producers, nutritionists, and sales teams.
- Communicate laboratory test results and explain how analytical insights drive better feeding decisions.
- Support forage management initiatives and identify ways to improve forage quality.
- Coordinate between laboratory, technical, and commercial teams to ensure project success.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore or Junior undergraduate status pursuing a degree in animal science, ag business, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work and travel independently without direct supervision.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to various audiences.
- Experience working on farms, in agricultural retail, FFA, 4-H, or collegiate agriculture programs.
- Comfort interacting with customers in diverse environments, including farms and retail settings.
- A working knowledge of forage production or livestock nutrition, or a clear willingness to develop this expertise.
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment.
- Experience collecting agricultural, soil, or feed samples and public speaking is a plus.

- This position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The internship runs from May to August 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
