About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join the WinField United team for an 11-week program running from May through August. This role focuses on total acre solutions, including seed, crop protection, and nutrient products. It serves as a potential entry point into our two-year associate program.
What you'll do#
- Build business development and customer relationship skills by engaging directly with growers and retailers.
- Learn the full range of WinField United products and services.
- Use field trial testing to uncover yield potential.
- Provide targeted insights to growers using total acre solutions.
- Work independently to manage your time and prioritize daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a sophomore or junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, crop and soil science, agriculture business, ag sales, ag systems management, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and solve problems resourcefully.
- Familiarity with the ag retail system is preferred, as is prior experience in agronomy or ag retail.
Location & details#
This is an on-site role. Positions are available in the following locations:
- Ames, Des Moines, and Iowa City, Iowa
- Springfield and Champaign, Illinois
- Mankato and central Minnesota
- River Falls and Eau Claire, Wisconsin
This position requires travel during the summer. Relocation assistance may be provided to eligible candidates.
