About the role#
La Caisse is seeking a student for a four-month internship within the Global Enterprise Risk team. This position runs from January to May 2027. You will work on operational risk files and model risk governance while supporting the team in daily activities and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the annual operational risk update campaign by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating data across the organization.
- Help improve the risk management framework by drafting and updating procedures, directives, and governance documents.
- Manage the registry of financial, actuarial, and quantitative models, including dashboard design and tracking validation recommendations.
- Update risk appetite and tolerance statements and identify associated metrics.
- Design management indicators and prepare presentations for leadership and governance committees.
- Support governance efforts related to the use of artificial intelligence.
- Improve internal tools and methods, including the use of AI agents to support proactive risk management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in finance, business administration, economics, or risk management.
- Proficiency with Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong command of both French and English, in writing and conversation.
- Familiarity with process and technology trends or model governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF or ISO 31000 is an asset.
- A solid grasp of institutional investor operations and risk management frameworks is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
