About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Melbourne, Florida. The role involves assessing security infrastructure and network design while identifying vulnerabilities across systems and applications. You will help oversee the operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
What you'll do#
- Assess network and system designs to ensure security.
- Identify risks and threats to new technology initiatives.
- Develop policies and procedures for system infrastructure.
- Perform technical assessments and evaluate engineering initiatives.
- Recommend network security products and services.
- Interact with clients to provide guidance on information assurance engineering standards.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Familiarity with system security topics like authentication, cryptography, access control, and application security.
