About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Co-op position based on-site in Avon, Ohio. You will join the Product R&D Centers of Excellence to support advanced product development and testing. This role requires a 40-hour work week.
What you'll do#
- Perform advanced product concept R&D.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures, including both hardware and software components.
- Validate products and troubleshoot issues in laboratory and vehicle environments.
- Manage inventory, assembly, and coordinate testing schedules with technicians.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve equipment reliability issues.
- Assist with product phase reviews, DFMEAs, and project management.
- Support materials analysis, CAD/CAE analysis, and PLM systems.
- Help translate customer requirements into new product designs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Majors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience with Pro-Engineer, IDEAS, or NX Solid Modeling design tools.
- Hands-on skills using mechanical tools, shop equipment, and trucks.
