About the role#
This co-op position is based in the Materials department at our Avon, Ohio facility. It is designed for students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration who want to gain experience with a commercial vehicle supplier. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Analyze scheduling techniques and parameters to reduce inventory and meet targets.
- Support inventory and demand forecasting processes.
- Develop and implement programs to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Identify and coordinate supplier buy back opportunities.
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly inventory metrics.
- Assist with manufacturing inventory control and the disposition of excess or obsolete material.
- Coordinate with IT, plant materials, and operations teams as a project management liaison.
- Work with Global Purchasing Excellence to evaluate how suppliers perform on deliveries.
- Help standardize materials planning processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
